1. What this licence covers
This licence governs your use of the FBR Digital Invoicing software, including the web application, its APIs, and any documentation we provide. It sits alongside our Terms of Conditions. Where the two differ on a licensing question, this page governs.
2. The licence we grant
While your subscription is active and paid, we grant your business a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the service for your own invoicing.
- The licence is granted to the business named on the account, not to individuals.
- Team members may use the service under that business, within the seat limits of your plan.
- The licence lasts for the current billing period and renews with your subscription.
3. What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense, rent, or offer the service as your own product.
- Copy, decompile, or reverse engineer the software, except where local law expressly permits it.
- Use the service to submit invoices on behalf of a business you are not authorised to represent.
- Circumvent seat limits, rate limits, or any technical control on the account.
- Remove or obscure notices of ownership from the software or its output.
4. Your data stays yours
You own your invoices, customer records, and business data. Nothing in this licence transfers ownership of that content to us. We process it only to run the service and to report invoices to FBR on your instruction, as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export your invoice records at any time while the account is active, and for thirty days after it closes.
5. What we own
We retain all rights in the software, its interface, the FBR Digital Invoicing name and logo, and any improvements we make. Feedback you send us may be used to improve the product without obligation or payment.
6. Third-party components
The service includes open-source components licensed by their authors. Those components remain under their own licences, which take precedence over this page for that code. A current list of components and licences is available on request from hello@fbr.com.
7. Suspension and termination
The licence ends if your subscription lapses, or if we suspend the account for a breach of these terms. On termination you must stop using the service; your right to export data for thirty days is unaffected.
8. No warranty on FBR outcomes
We work to keep the service aligned with FBR requirements, but we do not warrant that every submission will be accepted, or that FBR systems will be available. You remain responsible for the accuracy of the invoices you issue and report.
9. Changes to this licence
We may update this licence as the product or FBR requirements change. Material changes will be announced before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will be updated. Questions can go to our contact page.
