1. Introduction
FBR Digital Invoicing (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides software that helps businesses in Pakistan create, validate, and report digital invoices in line with Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) requirements. This policy describes the information we handle to run that service.
By creating an account or using the product, you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the service and contact us.
2. Who we are
- Business name: FBR Digital Invoicing
- Email: hello@fbr.com
- Contact: Contact page
3. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to provide invoicing, FBR reporting, support, and billing.
Personal and account information. Name, email, phone, business name, NTN, STRN, billing details, login credentials, and the users you invite to a workspace.
Invoice and tax data. Invoice contents you upload or create (including PDFs and Excel files), customer and supplier records, tax headers, FBR transaction numbers, QR payloads, and submission logs needed for compliance and audits.
Automatically collected information. IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, approximate location, and diagnostic logs that help us keep the service secure and reliable.
4. How we use your information
We process information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve FBR Digital Invoicing.
- Validate invoices and submit them to FBR through the official APIs.
- Map tax fields (including Sales Tax, Extra Tax, Further Tax, and Withholding Tax).
- Bill subscriptions, wallet credits, and the one-time setup fee.
- Give support, training, and service notices.
- Detect abuse, protect accounts, and meet legal obligations in Pakistan.
5. Legal and FBR compliance
Digital invoicing in Pakistan requires certain invoice details to be reported to FBR. When you ask us to report an invoice, we send the fields FBR’s API requires. We do this as your processor so you can meet your own tax and invoicing duties.
We also process data where we have a legitimate interest in running a secure product, or where you have given consent (for example, optional marketing email).
6. Data sharing
We do not sell your customer lists or invoice data. We share information only when it is needed to run the service:
- FBR, when you instruct us to report an invoice.
- Infrastructure, email, and payment providers who process data on our instructions.
- Professional advisers or authorities when the law requires it.
- A buyer of the business, if we restructure, under the same protections.
7. Security
We use organisational and technical controls appropriate to invoicing data: encrypted transit, access controls, audit logs, and regular reviews of our systems. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure; we work to reduce risk, not to claim it is zero.
8. Retention
We keep account, invoice, and FBR submission records for as long as you have an account and as long as tax, audit, or dispute rules require - including the multi-year ledgers some plans provide. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it in the ordinary course of operations.
9. Cookies
We use cookies and similar storage to keep you signed in, remember your theme preference, and understand how the site is used. You can control cookies in your browser; some features will not work if they are blocked.
10. Third-party platforms
The site may primary to stores, WhatsApp, social networks, or documentation we do not operate. Their privacy practices are their own. We are not responsible for content or data handling on those platforms.
11. Your rights
Subject to Pakistani law and FBR record-keeping rules, you may ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate account details.
- Delete data we are not required to keep.
- Export invoice records you have stored with us.
- Object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing.
Send requests to hello@fbr.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act.
12. Children
